How do I begin a project with Rae Duncan Interior Design?

To begin, complete our online contact form. A member of the RDID will promptly be in touch to learn more about your project proposal. A consultation meeting is planned if your proposal aligns with our experience and skill set. After the consultation, a welcome packet and contract will be forwarded.

Is there anything I need to bring to our first meeting?

We encourage you to share information about the space: size, current use, perceived positives and negatives, and ideas about your creative vision.

What area of the country do you serve?

RDID has an active client base in Chicago, St. Louis, Minneapolis, and Naples, FL. However, we’re happy to discuss luxury and commercial projects throughout the United States.

Is there a minimum project size?

RDID’s minimum project cost is $10K. The average home price for residential interior design projects is 3M.

How do I keep track of my budget, or do you do that?

RDID manages the budget for the project. As part of your contract, you will receive cost breakdowns and a project management timeline.

How does the process work?

RDID believes transparency is crucial. We believe in maintaining an ethical and transparent relationship with our clients. We explain all stages of the project timeline, including the timeframe and costs. We also believe in the importance of custom design. We never use “off-the-shelf” furniture or home décor, and all our fabrics and textiles are of hospitality-level quality.

What do I need to do during the renovation?

RDID handles all facets of the renovation process and will connect with you regularly to provide project updates.

What if I don’t like part or any of the design?

We want to ensure our work meets your expectations. We will meet with you throughout the project to discuss plans, colors, designs, and décor selections.

How do a proposal and invoice differ?

A proposal explains the project plan and associated costs. The proposal can be adjusted before entering into a contract with RDID. Invoices are billed to the client after the contract has been signed and the work started.

How much will my project cost?

Costs vary based on the project’s size, scope, and location.

Do I get to see it along the way or just when it’s finished?

You are welcome to see the transformation as it unfolds! We look forward to collaborating with you.
