RDID’s Modern Gold Coast Condo was a gut renovation of an outdated condo in the Gold Coast looking over Lake Michigan. The client wanted to keep all millwork consistent throughout. We redesigned the kitchen to be built in front of one of the large windows to let the light in, but also block the view of an old neighboring building. The focal point was the view. We shaped the space to maximize the view. Incorporating a hugged island and extremely functional layout for this retired couple. We used a veneer to create a soft modern look to the space.
