Senior Interior Designer

RDID is looking for extremely skilled, and experienced talent. We work in a very fast-paced environment that demands innovative thinking and often impromptu creativity and insight.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in all phases of the design process in both residential and commercial projects.
  • We appreciate both strong technical skills as well as strong conceptual skills.
  • Interpret client vision and present design concepts and plans to client independently and/or in collaboration with owner

  • Work collaboratively with design staff to achieve project goals, develop conceptual designs within approved budgets, and see long term design projects with high end clients from conception to project completion.
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently while coordinating tasks and deliverables on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Participate in site analysis, including survey of existing conditions and field measurements.
  • Meticulously support throughout the design process which may include design plans, construction contract documents, elevations and details, reflected ceiling plans, millwork design, furniturelayouts, ergonomic dimensions, finish plans, color plans, cost analysis, engineering systems coordination, document checking, schematic design and schedules.
  • Maintain strong relationships and communication with clients and vendors.
  • Administrative and design support such as coordinating pricing, order placement, and tracking,
  • assisting with design presentation preparations, maintaining the design library and overall studio organization.
Skills
  • Excellent technical skills in AutoCAD and Adobe Suite required. Sketch up, 3ds MAX, and Revit preferred.
  • 10 years of professional interior design experience required.
  • Commercial experience is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience and understanding of the design and construction of interior architecture spaces.
  • A background and knowledge of luxury residential, kitchen and bath standards and products.
  • Execution and knowledge of working drawings and construction documents, custom millwork and furniture drawings and design.
  • Strong presentation, articulate communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized, detailed oriented skills and ability to work under time constraints and pressure.
  • Must have a strong initiative and ownership of work and tasks delegated.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong social skills, positive and engaging personality.
  • Valid drivers license.

Drafter / Architect

Responsibilities
  • Participate in all phases of the design process while producing drawings and plans for each phase. Plans will include floorplan options, perspective views, annotated elevations, reflected ceiling plans with schedules, FF&E, finish and detail drawings.
  • Work collaboratively with Senior Designer and Project Manager throughout the design process.
  • Ability to multitask and work across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Perform site surveys and analysis of existing conditions. Translate field measurements into accurate drawings, plans and base models.
  • Produce pricing documents to send off to vendors. These include detailed drawings to communicate materials, dimensions and intent of design elements.
  • Ability to work as a team as well as independently while coordinating tasks and deliverables.
Skills
  • Excellent Technical skills in Autocad, Revit and Sketchup.
  • Preferred experience working in Adobe Suite
  • Understanding of the design and construction process
  • A background and knowledge of luxury residential kitchen and bath details
  • Execution and knowledge of working drawings and construction documents, custom millwork and furniture drawings and design
  • Construction or woodworking shop experience is a plus
  • Comprehensive knowledge of architectural drafting standards
  • Comprehensive knowledge of interior architecture, millwork engineering and cabinet construction, including typical cabinet and architectural hardware
  • Execution and knowledge of working drawings and construction documents, custom millwork and furniture drawings
  • Highly organized, detailed oriented skills and ability to work under time constraints and pressure.
  • Must have a strong initiative and ownership of work and tasks delegated.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong social skills, positive and engaging personality.
  • Valid driver's license

Experience
  • 5 years of AutoCAD experience in the custom woodworking industry creating 2D shop and submittal drawings
  • 5 years of residential Interior Design

Senior Project Manager

RDID is looking for a skilled and experienced project manager to run design projects from conceptual development and liaising with the clients, managing and executing the design, to design completion.

Responsibilities
  • Define project requirements and schedules
  • Interpret and translate customer needs into rough plans
  • Set costs and project fees according to budget
  • Research materials and products sourcing
  • Produce “sample” and “mood products”
  • Supervise work progress
  • Work closely with lead designer and anticipate designer, client, and contractor needs
  • Research and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practices
  • Run errands for lead designer (provide your own transportation, miles reimbursed)
Skills
  • Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions)
  • Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks is a plus
  • SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs ideal but not necessary
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Project management skills
  • BS degree in Interior Design or similar
  • Highly organized, detailed oriented skills and ability to work under time constraints and pressure
  • Must have strong initiative and ownership of work and tasks delegated
  • Effective verbal and communication skills
